Emlyns Coppice

You're not going to believe what's coming next..... It's Sauna time!!

Well, normally here at Emlyn's Coppice Woodland Glamping, Big infrastructure projects tend to happen in January each year, whilst we're closed. But this year we're shaking things up. My good friend, guitarist and carpenter mate, Paul (from Axecraft wood furnishings) and I will be picking up the tools once again to build our secret (shhh!) big project in the next few weeks. But seriously... don't tell a soul, we're ONLY telling our followers/subscribers directly at the moment.

As you know, if you're a follower/subscriber, Orme has been getting a lot of love recently, with a new outdoor deck, an extended garden area, and a hand built "pallet sofa" under a new sheltering arbour.

Well, that extended garden area has a reason, beyond just more space!

I'll be breaking ground soon on a base area in Orme's gardens , so we can install... a hand built #Sauna! Yes!! Orme will soon be becoming a #sparetreat with its very own private and secluded wood fired Sauna to compliment the hot tub. So you can head out in your private garden for some idyllic #forestbathing, take a dip in the #hottub in the sun or under the stars, and then head down to your totally exclusive and romantic Sauna beckoning you from amongst the trees.

The health benefits of a wood fired sauna are more than just a luxury experience – they are a gift to your overall well-being. Nestled in the serene woodlands, a wood fired sauna offers a unique and rejuvenating way to enhance your physical and mental health. From detoxifying your body to reducing stress levels, a wood fired sauna can truly transform your life. Let's dive into the amazing health benefits it has to offer!

Not actually our sauna, but you get the idea!

  1. Detoxification: Sweating is one of the most effective ways to cleanse your body of toxins. When you step into a wood fired sauna, the intense heat stimulates your sweat glands, promoting detoxification. The deep sweating that occurs during a sauna session helps release impurities from your pores, leaving your skin feeling refreshed and your body revitalized.

  2. Improved Circulation: The heat from a wood fired sauna causes blood vessels to dilate, increasing blood flow throughout your body. This enhanced circulation delivers oxygen and nutrients to your muscles, organs, and tissues more efficiently. In turn, it helps promote faster healing, reduces muscle soreness, and boosts overall cardiovascular health.

  3. Relaxation and Stress Relief: Stepping into a wood fired sauna is like entering a world of tranquillity. The soothing heat allows you to unwind, relax, and escape from the stresses of daily life. As your body temperature rises, your muscles become more relaxed, promoting a deep sense of calmness. The gentle crackling of the wood and the scent of the forest further enhance the serene atmosphere, leaving you in a state of bliss.

  4. Pain Relief: The heat from the wood fired sauna can alleviate chronic pain in a variety of ways. The increased circulation helps reduce inflammation and promote healing. The sauna's heat also triggers the release of endorphins, natural pain-relieving chemicals in the body, providing relief from muscle aches, joint pain, arthritis, and migraines.

  5. Enhanced Respiratory Health: The warm, moist air in a wood fired sauna can be especially beneficial for those with respiratory conditions such as asthma, allergies, and bronchitis. The heat opens up your airways, helping you breathe deeply and expel mucus more easily. This can lead to improved lung function and a reduction in symptoms.

  6. Immune System Boost: Regular sessions in a wood fired sauna may help strengthen your immune system. The increased body temperature can create an artificial fever, which activates your immune response to fight off infections and stimulate the production of white blood cells. This enhanced immune system can help protect you from common illnesses and promote overall wellness.

  7. Skin Health: The combination of heat and sweating in a wood fired sauna can do wonders for your skin. The deep sweating helps unclog pores, removing dirt, toxins, and dead skin cells. This can improve the complexion, reduce acne breakouts, and leave your skin with a healthy glow. The sauna also promotes increased circulation to the skin, which can aid in the production of collagen, giving your skin a more youthful appearance.

A wood fired sauna in the tranquil woodlands offers more than just a luxurious experience. It provides numerous health benefits, from detoxification and improved circulation to relaxation and stress relief. It can also help alleviate pain, enhance respiratory health, boost the immune system, and improve skin health. So, if you're looking for a natural way to promote your overall well-being, a wood fired sauna might just be the perfect addition to your self-care routine. Step into a world of bliss and reap the incredible health benefits it has to offer!

Rock of 80s guitarist and vocalist
Paul Burdett & Nic "Harrison" Breeze in Rock of 80s

Paul and I are currently locked in the design phase, batting ideas back & forth online and whilst we're backstage at gigs together (Paul and I play Bjorn & Benny respectively in the ABBA tribute, "Watch That Scene", and lead guitarist & lead vocalist in Rock of Eighties), on how we can make this project perfect for its surroundings, whilst providing the safest experience, so this will be a truly unique one off! No 'off the shelf' kits here! Although for safety's sake, the actual wood burner part of the sauna will be bought and fitted by professionals, ensuring you have a safe, relaxing spa treatment.

The build starts this April/May (hopefully), with 'Sauna included' holidays going on sale at the end of the month (again hopefully, so watch this space), ready for the summer season. Anyone who has a summer break booked BEFORE we have the Sauna officially available will get the sauna added to their break for free! After that though, prices for Orme will reflect the latest addition. Don't want a sauna? no worries, Ayr & Offa will remain available without a sauna, whilst still boasting a private garden and hot tub amongst the woodlands.

You can book your glamping break at www.emlynscoppice.co.uk and whilst you're there, please please do have a look at our webstore.

In our downtime, both Paul and I put our creativity to use hand crafting everything from guitar themed furniture (Paul as Axecraft) to hiking thumb-sticks & charcuterie boards (myself as Stormwood), and I have also started producing a small clothing range themed around the coppice.
